If you’re looking for ways to rejuvenate your home this spring, why not start with your entryway? You probably use this space every day, however it can easily get neglected. Here are a few entryway trends to reinvigorate your space for the coming season.

Why would I not focus on the absolute first thing people see of our house when they walk in the door. Seems like that should have been a no-brainer to me.”
Family gallery
Creating a family gallery is a lovely way to add a personal touch to your entryway. One option is to ask each member of the family to create a piece of artwork for the wall. Place each piece inside a decorative frame and add a little plaque with the artist’s name.
Another option is to use photographs of the family members themselves. You could use a professional portrait photographer and create a coordinating set of images. Alternatively, print out large copies of your favourite family snaps. These could be from important occasions, such as weddings, birthdays, or christenings. If you’re looking to mix things up, intersperse your photos with inspiring quote art.
Eclectic accessories
Accessories are a great way to add some personality to your entryway. Start by positioning a console table against the wall. Then decorate it with a few objects of your choice. These could include coffee table books, ornaments, mementos, or framed photos.
Be careful not to clutter the space. Just pick a few items that work well together and space them out on the table. To keep things fresh, you could even swap the accessories over every couple of months. This would also allow you to use seasonal items at different times of the year.
Classy and minimalist
If you’re a fan of minimalist design, you might prefer to keep your entryway simple. A console table is a great place to start. However instead of covering it with smaller décor items, choose one or two big pieces. Two large candles positioned at either end of the table would work well. Alternatively, use a coordinating set of ornaments. You could also include a simple vase of flowers, such as lilies, in the centre. The key is to keep things simple and uncluttered.
Another great option is to hang a large wall mirror above the table. This will really help to reflect the light and open up the space.
Coat station
For a practical twist on entryway décor, consider building a coat station. This is a space where your family can neatly store coats, shoes, and outdoor accessories. Try creating a seating area, such as a small bench. Then, add coat pegs to the wall above it. If there’s space underneath your bench, insert some baskets, to store shoes. If you have room above the pegs, add a shelf for hats.
You could even create one area for each of your family members. Instead of cramming bags into a cupboard, hang them on a coat stand. Lastly, don’t forget to add an umbrella stand, for those rainy days.
