Sliding Sash Windows

Our stunning range of vertical sliding sash windows offer maintenance free traditional looking windows which operate in the same way as the original timber designs but offer a much more secure and energy efficient solution – while achieving the same look as seen on may period and character properties. They can also be provided in a range of coloured and wood grain effect finishes.

The look is often completed with the addition of an ‘astragal’ or ‘plant on’ Georgian bar – replicating the original style – down to the incorporation of a duplex bar within the glass units to give the effect of individual panes within the frame.

Traditional timber sliding sash windows look great on period properties, but they can require alot of maintenance and be difficult and bulky to handle, not to mention the draughts they may well be letting in.

Unicorn offer maintenance free traditional looking UPVC sliding sash windows, that operate in the same way as the original timber designs. The windows slide up and down, and are securely held in place with a counter balancing mechanism. The windows can also be opened into a tilt position to offer safe access for cleaning.

This product offers a secure and energy efficient solution. The multi chambered system maximises thermal efficiency, especially when coupled with our A rated glass units with warm edge spacer bar and argon fill. Toughened glass is standard in all our sliding sash windows.
